Mesa is the third-largest city in Arizona. Downtown, like Glendale, still has a small-town feel. I enjoy photographing it. From November into April, Mesa has had Sculptures in the Streets — artists from around the country on Main Street east of Country Club. People vote, and the winner is purchased for the permanent collection. Some years the budget stops that. The years it runs are worth showing up.
Another part of Mesa I like is the old motel signs along Broadway. The city is large and it still reads like a town if you stand in the right place. That is the portfolio.
